Along with our core initiatives, Reinvent Albany has special projects to encourage innovative policies and programs by state and local agencies.

Projects

• MTA/NYC Hospitals SCOUT co-response and care for people suffering a mental health crisis in the subways.
  
• Upstate Trails: Support for advocacy to build a comprehensive, state-wide multi-use trail network that encourages everyday bicycling and tourism, and is an example of an extremely cost effective economic development strategy.
  
• NYC Citizen Truck Idling Enforcement: A 2019 NYC law allows the average person to enforce truck idling violations by submitting video documentation to the City in return for a portion of the penalty. This innovation has led to a huge increase in idling penalties and what many observers believe is a big reduction in truck idling.
