Praise for MTA Live Subway Map and Call For MTA Online Transparency
Reinvent Albany thanks the MTA for releasing a new online beta version live subway map. Beta versions allow for a fast roll out and user feedback, and can ensure that the perfect is not the enemy of the good in providing more information to riders.

We hope that the MTA will continue to improve upon this map and all of its online service, accountability and transparency offerings, including on its capital plan, budgets and contracts. Providing more information in open data and improving putting a uniform MTA “Open FOIL” system online — goals supported by Chairman Foye in April 2019 — will also increase access to MTA information and help the public better understand MTA operations and help hold them accountable.
