Support for Three Bills Strengthening Open, Accountable Government

As part of our advocacy for open, accountable NY government, Reinvent Albany reissued memos of support for the following bills:

• A7185 (Lavine) – Amends Article VII of the NYS Constitution to give the Legislature equal powers to the Governor in the budget process.
  
• S2073 (May) – Protects Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) proceeds from raids by prohibiting transfers to general fund.
  
• S2812 (Gounardes) / A5259 (Dinowitz) – Expands New York City’s red light camera program.

We urge the bills to be voted out of committee, and passed by the full Senate and Assembly.
