Support for Three Bills Creating a More Open NY Government

As part of our advocacy for transparent, accountable New York State government, Reinvent Albany published memos of support for the following bills:

• S1961 (Gonzalez) / A5739 (Solages) – Secure Our Data Act. This is a new memo signed by Reinvent Albany and BetaNYC.
• S5551 (Cleare) – Requires Empire State Development (ESD) to post video recordings of certain public hearings.

We also reissued a memo of support for the following bill:

• S2541 (Myrie) / A7450 (Levenberg) – Requires images of cast vote records be made publicly available. This was reintroduced in the Assembly by AM Levenberg.

We urge the Legislature to pass these bills, and the Governor to sign them.
