Reinvent Albany Joins Amicus Briefs Supporting Advocates’ Congestion Pricing Lawsuits

Reinvent Albany joined more than twenty advocacy groups and prominent individuals including the Environmental Defense Fund, Environmental Advocates of New York, Partnership for New York City, and Tri-State Transportation Campaign in filing amicus briefs supporting lawsuits brought by Riders Alliance and the City Club of New York against the Governor’s illegal pause of the MTA’s congestion pricing program. The briefs contain detailed policy arguments supporting the environmental, economic, and policy benefits of congestion pricing, and cite Reinvent Albany’s study of MTA spending on outside vendors located throughout the state and the possible loss of 100,000 jobs if congestion pricing is cancelled.
