- Future infrastructure projects won’t help anyone if the lights go out at the MTA. We need the President and Senate to support the MTA’s request for an additional $3.9 billion in federal emergency funding to sustain basic operations. The House has already included it in its proposal for the next COVID relief bill, the HEROES Act.
- New York can help itself more on transit funding if it’s allowed to implement congestion pricing on schedule. Right now the congestion pricing project review is held up at President Trump’s U.S. DOT. It should be possible for the President and Governor to sort that out quickly.
