Reinvent Albany joined Tri-State Transportation Campaign and other transportation, disability, and environmental advocates in a statement asking Governor Hochul and NYS legislators to use the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) funds to prioritize equity, the environment, safety, accessibility, and mass transit in particular. These funds should be allocated to projects that can transform NYS transit and transportation infrastructure and advance equity and environmental goals, rather than spending on projects that will cause more harm, like highway widening projects.
