Support for Three Bills Strengthening NYS Government

As part of our advocacy for open, accountable government, Reinvent Albany issued a new memo of support for:

• S4464-A (Mayer) / A838-A (Solages) – Requires school board and labor representation in Industrial Development Agencies. Passed the Senate; now in Assembly Local Governments.

We also reissued memos of support for:

• S6745 (Stavisky) / A5733 (Hyndman) – Requires SUNY and CUNY Research Foundations to report on finances and contracts. Passed the Senate; now in Assembly Higher Education.
• S4662 (Skoufis) / A11092 (Stirpe) – Establishes basic transparency requirements for locations of productions using film/TV tax credit. This bill was introduced in the Assembly by AM Stirpe.

We urge the Legislature to pass these bills.
