Reinvent Albany strongly supports Governor Hochul’s proposal to institute term limits and ban most outside income for statewide elected officials.
Still, by far the most important thing the Governor can do is champion an independent state ethics commission and close loopholes in state ethics laws.
We eagerly await the Governor’s announcement that she is honoring her pledge to “blow up” the dysfunctional Joint Commission on Public Ethics.
