- The City writes about the billions of dollars in tax breaks that office buildings with high vacancy rates have received from NYC.
- Late last year, the Investigative Post and New York Focus covered the effort to have NY Industrial Development Agencies dish out housing tax breaks.
- A factory that received $13 million in grants from Empire State Development is closing (Syracuse Post-Standard). ESD said it intends to recapture as much of the money as legally permissible.
- The Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency is giving $12 million in tax breaks for ice cream (Buffalo News). “Such an exciting project,” said one official. “A game changer.”
