As part of our advocacy for open, accountable NY government, Reinvent Albany issued a memo of support for the following bill:
- S3502-A (Skoufis) / A6103-A (Paulin) – Eliminates FOIL exemption for consultant reports. This bill is on the Senate Floor Calendar.
We also reissued memos of support for the following bills:
- S8671 (Hoylman-Sigal) / A9621 (McDonald) – Requires agencies to submit FOIL logs to the Committee on Open Government. This bill was introduced in the Assembly by AM McDonald.
- S3507 (Skoufis) / A9434 (Wallace) – Requires members of regional economic development councils, including volunteers, to file financial disclosure statements. This bill was introduced in the Assembly by AM Wallace.
- S1883 (Skoufis / A9548 (Solages) – Requires economic development entities to be subject to Open Meetings and Freedom of Information Laws; requires members to file financial disclosures. This bill was introduced in the Assembly by AM Solages.
- S481 (Salazar) / A1438 (Rosenthal L) – Repeals certain use tax exemptions for racehorses.
