Watchdog Urges Governor to Sign Two Bills, Veto One

As part of our advocacy for open, accountable New York government, Reinvent Albany urges Governor Hochul to sign the following bills passed by the Legislature:

• Expanding e-filing in NYS courts (S7524 (Hoylman-Sigal) / A10350 (Shimsky)) – This bill is supported by Reinvent Albany and Scrutinize.
• Prohibiting conflicts of interest among BOE employees (S612-D (Mayer) / A1244-D (Jacobson)) 

We also urge Governor Hochul to veto the following bill:

• Requiring government agencies to notify public employees if their disciplinary record is disclosed under FOIL (S5500-B (Skoufis) / A6146-B (Buttenschon))
