Support for Four Bills Increasing Transparency and Accountability

As part of our advocacy for open, accountable NY government, Reinvent Albany issued memos of support for the following bills:

A9559 (Rajkumar) – Requires lobbyists to report support or opposition to legislation. This is a new memo.
S5551 (Cleare) – Requires Empire State Development (ESD) to post video recordings of certain public hearings. This bill is on the Senate Floor Calendar.
S3736 (Comrie) – Increases transparency of grant and bond applications to the Public Authorities Control Board. This bill is on the Senate Floor Calendar.
S2459 (Comrie) / A8569 (Braunstein) – Repeals 2019 changes to Public Authorities Control Board. This bill is on the Senate Floor Calendar.

We urge the Legislature to pass these bills.
