Support for Five Bills Strengthening NYS Government

As part of our advocacy for open, accountable government, Reinvent Albany issued the following new memos of support:

S3284 (Skoufis) / A11017 (Solages) – Prohibits IDAs from incentivizing companies to relocate within New York State.
S10282 (Skoufis) / A1883 (Rosenthal) – Requires NYS to establish free tax filing software.
S9285 (Bailey) / A10330 (Dinowitz) – Establishes grant program for nonprofit news outlets.

We are also reissuing the following memos:

S4945 (Comrie) – Makes Public Authorities Reporting Information System (PARIS) reports immediately available to the public. This bill passed the Senate and is in Assembly Corporations.
S5452 (Comrie) / A10947 (Walker) – Requires local election commissioners to meet professional qualifications. This bill passed the Senate and is in Assembly Election Law.

We urge the Legislature to pass these bills.
