Support for Lobbying and Ethics Bills Heading to Gov. Hochul

As part of our advocacy for open, accountable government, Reinvent Albany is reissuing the following memos of support for legislation that passed both houses of the Legislature this session.

• S5843 (Skoufis) / A2330 (McDonald) – Requires electronic lobbying filing. This memo is jointly signed by Reinvent Albany, Citizens Union, the Committee to Reform the State Constitution, Common Cause/NY, the League of Women Voters of New York State, the New York City Bar Association, and New York Public Interest Research Group. 
• S4857-C (Skoufis) / A463-B (Paulin) – Publishing disclosure statements of candidates for state legislature and statewide office on the NYS Commission on Lobbying and Ethics in Government website. This memo is jointly signed by Reinvent Albany, Citizens Union, the Committee to Reform the State Constitution, Common Cause/NY, and the League of Women Voters of New York State. 

We urge Governor Hochul to sign these bills.
