Support for Two Bills Strengthening NYS FOIL and Elections

As part of our advocacy for open, accountable NY government, Reinvent Albany reissued memos of support for the following bills:

S1666 (Harckham) / A7796 (Kelles) – Clarifies NYS Freedom of Information Law. Signed by Reinvent Albany, Citizens Union, Common Cause/NY, League of Women Voters of NYS, and NYPIRG. This bill was introduced in the Assembly by AM Kelles.
A6287 (Cunningham) / S7116 (Cleare) – Voting Integrity and Verification Act of New York (VIVA NY).

We urge the Legislature to pass the bills.
