Reinvent Albany joined a letter led by League of Women Voters asking state legislative leaders to support relocating the State Board of Elections. The letter was signed by 12 groups, including Common Cause NY and Citizen Action of New York.
The letter noted that the State Board of Elections has had to take on numerous additional responsibilities over the past several years, including implementation of a public campaign finance system, and that additional office space is needed to accommodate the board’s growing staff.
