Support for Five Bills, Opposition to Two

As part of our advocacy for open, accountable government, Reinvent Albany issued the following new memos of opposition:

We are also issuing the following memos of support:

  • S4197-A (Gounardes) / A6201-A (Kelles) – Amends State Code of Ethics to explicitly prohibit harassment and discrimination. This is a new group memo that Reinvent Albany joined, led by Harassment-Free New York.
  • S1087 (Mayer) / A5056 (Jacobson) Makes local elections commissioners full-time employees full-time employees of the board. Passed Senate; in Assembly Election Law committee.
  • S2459 (Comrie) / A8569 (Braunstein) Repeals 2019 changes to Public Authorities Control Board. On the Assembly Ways and Means committee agenda.
